Welcome to the homepage of the Sino-Swedish Centre for Tree-Ring Research (SISTRR).
SISTRR is an cooperative effort between the Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in Xian, China and the Regional Climate Group, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Gothenburg, Sweden and was launched in 2008. The aim of SISTRR is to investigate tree-ring related research questions in Eurasia, with some focus on teleconnections between Northern Europe and China. One of the priorities of SISTRR is to establish extensive tree-ring chronologies from both regions, which will be the base of paleoclimate and ecological research.
Professors Yu Liu and Hans Linderholm are co-directors and founders of SISTRR (see Contacts for details)
